Qurbani Project Areas
This year Small Kindness will be providing Qurbani in the Balkans, including Bosnia & Herzegovina, Kosovo, and Serbia, as well as in Indonesia, where people still struggle due to the painful remnants of natural disasters, war, high unemployment and high rates of absolute poverty. We will also be supplying Qurbani to the refugees, asylum seekers, homeless and needy families in the UK through our partner charity.
When is the Qurbani performed?
Qurbani is performed on the 10th (which is the day of Eid al-Adha), the 11th and 12th of the Islamic month of Dhul-Hijjah. In 2016, Eid al-Adha is expected to take place on Monday 12th September, with the Day of Arafah falling on Sunday 11th of September.
You can order your Qurbani from us up until the day of Eid al-Adha. We will ensure that it is carried out on the right day and in the right way. All meat will be sourced from local farms in the above regions and distributed by our own staff. For the UK, the Qurbani will be distributed by a partner charity.
How many Qurbani animals do I have to sacrifice?
1 Sheep or Goat = 1 Qurbani.
May Allah (swt) accept your Qurbani and bless you, your family and community with a very happy Eid al-Adha.
“Alhamdulillah, I have performed my Qurbani through Small Kindness since it began in 2000. It has always been effective in donating food to the needy, particularly orphans.”
